using my GPU and not the CPU, the desktop is more responsive.
And I'm using Vista as a host system, not a guest (but it is nice to know it is possible, especially for businesses, and get actual support, unlike the situation with XP).
And how will the "security" argument become worthless? I don't think that MS will change that back to the XP style of "When you are admin, all the time, access to everything for every single piece of code, and, oh, the first account we create will have full Administrator rights, but we don't tell you that" at any time. And looking at my process list in Task Manager, I can see that 90% of my user tasks are using virtualized registry access. Which is a Good Thing.
Not to mention, that the UI beats XP's UI hands down. |
