About 4 years ago my SO (we'll probably get married in February) had a major fallout with her then boyfriend. We were already friends, but the brother/sister kind - too bad for me. We were rudely interrupted (by said boyfriend) while having coffee - he accused her of being a "slut". I lost it and had to be physically restrained (after breaking a glass counter top and his one finger). That was the end of the brotherly love thing. She never dated me because I was too polite, too nice grrr, too calm, etc, etc. The expression on her face was as though somebody had doused her with a bucket of cold water. Then she started blushing. It got a little mushy after that. It's another one of those primal things.
