they've been pretty good to me about making things right.

I've got the cell #s of my area line techs, I don't bother with tech support :)

with the line length that I have I'm limited to 1.5/384 but my techs say I should be able to get 3/512 and they're hounding the main office to get me up to that, but currently my slow connection is roughly 99% reliable except in heavy lightning storms.

at first I was losing sync at 384/128, I finally got them out to check it and they had to switch the lines from my house to the box down the street and then I've had a really solid 1.5/384 ever since :)

if they wanted to jack me on a modem, I'd drop my service and start new service as they include a modem it seems every time you get new service (have a box of speedstream modems of varying flavors lying about)

any time my connection is down for more than an hour *rare* I call and complain and most generally I get that month free.

our local cable company could take some lessons....
