most employers want to know what the don't have to teach you first :) and its a plus to show that you went to the trouble to get them but it also depends on the jobs.. if your certs don't match what the employer is looking for then experience first you need to show your a good match for the position and whatever it takes to emphasize that do it :) just my 2 cents..
