Summary: 50 is a large enough sample. by Esteis 2007-07-10 16:19:09
A bit small, sure, so we won't be able to detect small amounts of brutality, but large enough, so you could detect moderate or large amounts.

This holds, no matter whether there's 10 000 or 175 000 American soldiers in Iraq.

We still need the data to determine *whether* the brutality is widespread (i.e. whether the blogwriter did not cherry-pick), but the sample size is not the problem.
