It comes as a glaring contrast to the thread further down. And makes me want to iterate: Violence is bad!!!

Any violence. Whether committed in the name of good or not. Some is unavoidable and must be accepted. But only the barest minimum necessary should be tolerated. To seek to increase violence in this world (and the desecration of corpses is surely violence against the survivors) is truly evil.

If this story has an element of truth, it really helps explain why the presence of US troops is not welcomed more as bringing peace in Iraq.
