Converting a linux app to windows. by AndyA 2007-07-10 14:29:44
We have a Linux command line application. It uses a file on the disk for config, all other IO to/from the application is via the network.
Marketing for some strange reason want this to run under windows.

How hard would this be to do 1) if we had the full source code and 2) if we only have the compiled executable.

I'm guessing scenario 2 would require some sort of virtual machine with all the performance hit that implies.
