Yet John Q. Public (not you) ignores the news, NPR isn't even considered a mainstream news source. The main sources say very little about what THEY do, but heaven forbid a US Soldier even looks like he does something wrong. They will be convicted by the major media outlets before the sun sets on the first allegation, and if they are exonerated you won't hear nary a peep. There may not be absolute silence, but there is very little said. As for John Q. Public, they are either silent or willfully ignorant. Which is the greater travesty I do not know.
Consider yourself lucky you have only heard things, I can smell and feel the things that make up my nightmares. |
