Oh, mighty UFicle by hadji 2007-07-10 12:21:51
On a Windows 2003 server, I want to set up a log in performance monitor. I right-click on "Counter Logs" and select "New Log Settings..." I type in the name I want, and click "OK" Then I click "Add Objects."

At this point, I'm supposed to get a window that lists each object by name, like this.

On one server, though, I instead get a window that lists a number for each object, like this.

Supposedly, there is a way to fix this by copying some files from a working server to the offending one. But I've no idea which file(s) to copy or by what procedure. And my Google-Fu and MSKB-Fu are weak.

Can anyone offer some insight?
