Terrorists like al Qaeda aren't the problem they are now because of Afghanistan or Iraq. They existed before, and spread terror before these two wars. Before these, though, al Qaeda was pretty much limiting themselves in their choice of targets. Something, they don't do now. So, I agree with you: Without Bush's vendetta, I wouldn't have to live with the erosion of my liberties in my country. A much better deal for me.
