I just got a (refurbished) IBM laptop (Lenovo bought out the IBM laptop division), and I absolutely love it. There's some little features that are actually more useful than you'd think, like an overhead LED to light up the keyboard in the dark, and a hardware password-saver (it'll remember passwords even through a nuke-and-pave!)
I also run a dual-boot Linux system, XP and Ubuntu; everything "just worked", even the wireless. You have to compile the IBM laptop modules, but they're worth it. I even got LIRC working :-) |
