Small engine question by Kickstart 2007-07-09 20:18:57
Old chainsaw, won't start. Has spark. Has gas in the cylinder. However, I got a jolt right through the rubber housing on the spark plug lead (pron. leeeed). It's a little oily, but the spark jumped right through the rubber.

Replace the spark plug? Assume it's something else and take it into the shop? I don't have loads of time to do a full teardown.

Spark plugs are cheap, first replace it then try by Danu2007-07-09 20:28:50

sounds like worn insulation on the sparkplug lead by hieraco2007-07-09 23:50:58
