after some testing I see that it is the case. i.e. simple select queries I tried on partial index seem to work fine, but more complex like GROUP BY required a table scan, which surprized me..., even if I grouped by the partial keys. also when I was selecting a particular field directly, I had type const (direct index lookup) in Unique and ref (multiple key lookup), which makes sense;
