she was "helping the kids" at Bible Camp. For all we know they were just hard up for counselors and she needed the work experience. Or maybe she's a lifeguard or has first aid training, or is a good athletic coach. There's lots of activities at such things that aren't directly "religious."

Just because you help out at Bible Camp doesn't mean you're an utter religious nutjob.
