Could be that she saw Jesus in a (for that group) non-canonical way. Or that God told her things that are opposite to the doctrine of this organization.

The only thing we know is, that she claims Jesus spoke to her, and told her not to have sex anymore. Nothing more, nothing less. That doesn't even necessarily make her religious.
