I remember this from first year biology. Couples having sex frequently are more likely to have a boy. Couples only having occasional sex are more likely to have a girl. Why? Sperm carrying the Y are faster but less long-lived. Sperm carrying the X are slower but can hang around and wait for an egg to appear. If you are doing the Friday-business all the time, at the moment of ovulation it is more likely that there are speedy Y-sperms zooming up to the end of the fallopian tube. If you're not getting much action and none at the time of ovulation, the X-sperm from the last time you had sex (if it isn't too many days ago) are loitering in the tube...
