Holy deitus interruptus! by hactar the uhhh2007-07-09 16:44:47
  I wish I'd heard their 10 minute conversation. by bastetsmuse 2007-07-09 16:52:32
I well remember when my ex-husband returned from a ScamWhey (misspelled on purpose) weekend and announced, "I found Jesus this weekend." My response, "was He lost?" really indicated that there were going to be problems. And there were.

Major philosophical issues, major religious issues -- these things break couples up every day. It is **impossible** for one half of a relationship to have an "epiphany" of this magnitude and REASONABLY expect the other half to just grin and take it as ... gospel (sorry, just had to!).

Your friend was perhaps brutal in his honesty, but he knows what he wants. So does she. There IS no compromise in this situation, and your friend is ONLY "shallow and single-minded" because he isn't agreeing with her new agenda. I admire him for his directness, and wish him the best -- and I sincerely hope she finds the kind of man she thinks she's looking for now.

One question: do you think she was using the 'no-sex' spiritual epiphany to force a marriage proposal?
