how do you deal with bureaucracy ? by dennismv 2007-07-09 14:35:38
I have quite a few incidents where to do a simple task A (and there are a few of those) it requires:
  • quite a moderate sum of money
  • phone tag and paper tag,
  • mandatory waiting period of 10-30 days
  • gratuitous waiting period.
  • i.e. you want task A done on Monday, and it Can be done on Monday, but for some reason it slips away into Tuesday ... Wednesday.. Saturday .. next month ...
  • games like [I'll disconnect you], [lost in translation (miscommunidation)], [it's shows okay on our end, so I don't see your problem (and hence it doesn't exist)], [I'll transfer you to the person who knows nothing about your problem either] and more.

  • When you need to getthings done fast, the above is most irritating. With today's technology especially why can't task A get done in 20 minutes ? 30 minutes ? 4 hours ? Not days or weeks. Can I come over and do task A for you ? So that I get it done ?
