If you are a clean-cut white boy (and a terrorist), you get to go through. It makes a joke of the whole "security" process, and it doesn't help that some guards are uneducated pigs. And I say this from experiance... (I know, strong words. But I always felt that when you put on a uniform you have a Duty To The Public; it's not just an ego trip).
