they have them on display, plugged in, & you can test them right there on the counter.
Take your drawing & see which one(s) make the best scans without adjusting ANYTHING.
If a clerk asks you what you're doing, tell them the truth - comparison shopping for a scanner that can handle line art without having to spend a bajillion years fiddling with "options".
Either it works in hardware or it's not worth the hassle.
They MIGHT have a clue as to which model(s) best suit that need. =J
