Paint it black... I mean BLACK. The darker, more solid (no streaks) black you can get it, the better. Lay the drawing face-down on the glass, lay the black cardboard down behind it, & tell it to scan. I used to have an HP PSC1315 & when I wanted to scan in my pencil drawings (on either graph paper, or onion skin) I found that the black cardboard made it stand out more from the paper & would thus render an image that didn't completely stink. =) Hunk of cardboard the size of the glass: free (scrounged) Black paint from the hardware store / hobby shop: $5 Not having to replace a perfectly good piece of equipment because it refuses to behave: priceless! =)P
