I really should get out more. My immune system sucks. Sidenote: Had an interesting conversation with taxi driver. He had been chatting on phone with his brother in Winnipeg. The brother has sent his teenage son to stay with taxi driver (uncle). Kidlette tends to get into trouble during the summer back home, hanging out with up-to-no-good crowd. Taxi driver is keeping kid busy working and within arms reach. Driver suspects this summer will be turning point for kid and up to kid to decide which path he is going to take. If necessary family is prepared to take it to the next level as already done with bud from other branch of tree. There was another boy in the family that went through same thing except with this boy when it became apparent jail was inevitable, they sent him back to Somalia, Africa to live with family. Let the boy see what it is like to just struggle to survive with barely enough work for money, and money for food. Mother here signed some form with immigration preventing the boy from returning to Canada unless she gave explicit consent. Boy has been there for a couple of years now and has a new appreciation for Canadian living. He got himself together and now family is sending him to excellent University in Kenya. He plans to get [can't remember degree] and then return to Canada. It was a very interesting conversation.
