But I think this is an interesting point - just how far Society should go in ensuring a proper environment for rearing a child. In this case, because medical technology enables something that cannot occur naturally, the argument is made that it should not be allowed because of possible problems with child rearing.

If that standard is to be applied to 'natural' births, what would happen? And how/why should 'natural' births be prevented?
