the water bottle has a rubber stopper that the pokey thing breaks when you put the bottle on the cooler. No danger of spill so you don't have to do the fast flippy thing you normaly have to do the get the bottle in the cooler before it pours out and overflows

so unless you are pregnant or handicaped or you :P, there is NO GOOD REASON not to do it
