If he doesn't "get" the possible downsides and dangers yet...well, he's still a kid. Buy yourself some breathing room, and if he wants to decorate himself at 18, that's his prerogative.
Hit the blood-borne transmission thing hard. He needs to understand that for other safety reasons as well (sex, drugs, if he goes to a non-professional for the tattoo, etc). |
