  2. I don't think so. Of course, I've simplified a lot. But that's a discussion on its own, and I don't know if I can handle that, too, at the moment.
  3. The but is: "you can act freely, but only within these arbitrarily set borders". Which, to me, isn't really free will. Again, this hinges on the definition of free will

  5. But doesn't a free will need concepts of Good and Evil, too? To see which choices are proper, and what *makes* them proper? And I doubt that they could have attained this knowledge another way. In Paradise, this isn't really necessary (unless Paradise isn't as perfect as the clergy claims it to be).
