Maybe they only allow one RGB element pattern? by vetitice 2007-07-03 07:42:28
I think different monitors can have the RGB elements organised in different ways. Obviously there are 6 different ways to arrange an R, G, B element next to each other. Last time I looked at cleartype (about 6 years ago) there was a setting for which pixel pattern your monitor had.

Maybe apple, used to all their monitors being the same, aren't allowing for other manufacturers with different pixel element orders?

Though since Mac Mini doesn't come with a monitor, they should be aware of the problem and provide a way of changing it.
