God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. A monotheistic (I have to revise that) god cannot work without these attributes (Odin became a god only after he traded his eye for these attributes, for example, with limited omnipotence, since he will be unable to avert Ragnarök).

This is mostly due to uniting all gods of a pantheon in a single deity.
