Just maned to istall Safari on Vista. by Khaar 2007-07-03 01:22:50
It looks... well... greasy would be the word. The text antialiasing is odd to say the least. Seems to use some principles of ClearType, but the end result is smudged and not at all sharp. Safari also seems to have a habit of copying other browser's browsing history and displaying it after entering only "www." in address bar.

Ebbeh...

Now, I remember reading something about advantages of Mac having menu bar on top of the screen practically making each menu item infinitelly high and by that easier to select - you only need to move mouse to propper x coordinate, no need to aim for y if you just move as high as possible. Apparently that lesson is lost on Safari designers. Close button is actually not in upper right corner as is in every other application in Windows since before time. Those few pixels of the corner are reserved for the close button of whatever application is running behind Safari. Yup, even when maximized you aren't allowed to close the browser of the Great and Almighty Apple unless you take your time to aim.
