An offensive question for women... by Illiad2007-07-01 15:11:45
my flatmate calls me "Chicky", I don't mind that by shortandsweet 2007-07-01 23:39:01
Chick can also be used to describe some random woman as in "Dude, just ask that chick over there what the time is". DO not ever go up to some random woman with "What is a nice chick like you doing in a dirty mind like mine?" This will get you either a non-FYOSS reply, or worse a trip to A&E. This will also be the response if you try to say in a stage whisper "Check out the t....eeth on that chick!" Oh and never use it to refer to a woman older than yourself- that is just icky!

It is OK to use the word chick in the following circumstances:
1) "You remember, that chick at that party..."
2) "There's this chick in my biology class.."
3) [to an good friend, as an affectionate nickname] "Hey chick, what's up!"
4) "That's a cute little chick you have there, when did it hatch?"

AND NEVER call us TOUGH OLD BIRDS! We are likely to flip you the bird, or worse!
