Sadly, I'm not, when it comes to things like that.


A related, but still tangential example:

After a particularly nasty "security bill" died on the discussion table between the two parties forming the current ruling cabinet, the Secretary for Inland Security (who was behind that thing), announced a higher risk of Islamic terrorism attack in Germany.

The news stations fell in with that, while our secret services and the federal police said (I'm paraphrasing): "Huh? Dunno where he got that idea from."


In short: I don't trust the police nor do I trust the media in anything. If it fits their mindset (or makes it easy to write a news item about it), it is the "preliminary evidence", no matter how harebrained it can be.

And of course, there might be even substantial evidence linking these two incidents to the same group, but if that is the case (yet), either the BBC or the police SNAFU'd.
