idea of there beign another substance in the car that would act as a detonator. It bugged me all day on Friday, I couldn't work out why the BBC kept refering to a 'controlled explosion' of the car found in london. The car itself was clearly intact, and why would they need to carry out a controlled explosion on a few litres of petrol and some propane canisters? Makes sense that the controlled explosion could have been of the detonator. Just a thought :)
