Then again, I am one of the women that won't take crap from ANYONE - a police officer, my boss, my friends, the admin of a forum, etc etc. Just like with anything else, there are all types of women with all types of preferences, tolerances, etc.
On to my next point - if it is something that is not blatently offensive and socially unacceptible, I tend to react more softly emotionally - tell them with a sharp tone of voice that is not acceptible to me (as with 'chick') and forget it ever happened as long as they stop using that term at me.
My big sister once told me some guy came up to her when she was in college (she's 33 now) and told her "nice rocks." She told me this because she couldn't figure out what he meant till she got home... Me, I prolly would have decked him - or at least wanted to. |
