About laws regarding moonshining in Norway: by krikkert 2007-07-01 15:01:13
Some of you wondered about the legalities. Here are the details (all cut from the laws, as they're too long for full quoting):

The Alcohol Act of 1989:

§ 6-1: Liquids containing alcohol can only be produced with a written permit from the Social- and Health Directorate [...] This requirement does not apply to liquids with less than 22 volume percent of alcohol.

§ 9-1: Without a permit from the Social- and Health Directorate, it is forbidden to advertise for devices, parts, or equipment that are made for or could be used for the production or distillation of liquor, moonshine, or isopropanol in newspapers, magazines, exhibitions, et cetera.

It is furthermore forbidden; through books, articles, advertisement in the Press, or any other method; to give encouragement to illegally produce or distil liquor, moonshine, or isopropanol, or to give directions which by their form could be construed to be efficient at promoting such production or distillation [...]

The 'illegal for me to read it' part was added through case precedence.
