as previously stated, the iphone is Apple's first effort at a complete phone package - hardware and software. Microsoft only has a mobile operating system and nothing more... and it is a somewhat annoying system at that. I won't likely buy an iphone any time soon, since I favor the tactile feedback that a normal keyboard offers, but I look forward to seeing the potential of future versions of the iPhone, since a slick 'apple designed' user interface could be all it takes to make the cell phone market notice how often mediocre interfaces are thrown on an otherwise great phone.
