Ok, seriously for a moment.
Whom can be so arrogant as to believe we are the ONLY life in the Universe?
If there is other Life out there, it stands to reason they may, also, be exploring Space in all Her infinite wonder.
Given that, we here on Earth, a microscopic speck of dust amongst the infinite specs to encounter, may have been visited before, currently, and in the future.
"Any technology, sufficiently advanced, is indistinguishable from magic."
Any Species capable of crossing interstellar distances is already sufficiently advanced (beyond our own levels of technology) that we may be standing right next to them & never know it.
So who's to say that, as we gaze up into the star filled night's sky, we aren't merely one out of many, all asking the same question: "Is anyone out there?"
I, for one, believe there is & hope that we may, someday, make open contact.
But then, I'm a bit of a dreamer at times... =} |
