My friend (the one whom I'm crashing in his garage) decided to have a BBQ today, so "breakfast" (10am) was BBQ chicken, steaks, burgers, country-style pork ribs, corn on the cob (wrapped in foil with a pat of butter), potato salad, devilied eggs, macaroni salad, & nearly-frozen-cold sodas.
Just after I finished my food, my mother stopped by with my son in tow, handed me a FD card with $50 in it, & said "The two of you need to go see a movie or something. My treat."
*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE*
He had a giant bacon cheese burger, & mom had a glass of tea, chatting with my friends.
Mom drove us (son & I) to see the new Silver Surfer movie (Stan Lee cameo FTW!), and then played video games in the arcade until our thumbs went numb (waiting for a ride back home).
[It's a good thing she gave me $50 - the tickets cost $19, the snacks another $21! We spent a total of $5 playing DDR, leaving me with a whopping 1/10th of my FD gift! *gah*]
Oh well, it was VERY well spent! =)
