If you attempt to defrost a freezer by chiselling the ice with a flat-blade screwdriver, you can accidentally let the magic gas out.

Fortunately, Wikipedia says R134a is relatively harmless, so the small amount I inhaled before I managed to drag it out of my dorm shouldn't have any effect... the replacement rabbit licks its ear and wiggles its nose but the giraffe was naked and the kleenex was hot so it had to eat blueberries.
