I miss the drum circles.
I was at a drum circle last night, and I should have remembered the biggest local festival is going on this past week/weekend in Darlington, MD (Hear that, joe? You and the wife should pop in there one year. You'd probably like it.). So all the good local drummers were away.
anyway, I rant about it a bit in my LJ.
There is something to be said about pounding on drums for 5 hours around a raging bonfire, or dancing for the same length of time. I suppose it's like clubbing, but we are making our own music, not listening to a DJ pick songs for us and create his mood, but one we create by consensus. |
