depending on what your setup is (make/model of modem and router) you may be able to access the modem itself try this IF YOU HAVE A ROUTER (and if you don't why not??) in another tab type http://192.168.100.1 if you have a more or less standard modem this will drop you into the modems diagnostics page(s) one of the tabs (most likely not first one) will have a bunch of jibbering that could prove you have a marginal connection. email me at #nickname# at google mail with your make and model and i can look it up for you
