Real Coders don't use GOTOs

PERFORM THRU is so much more unpredictable. Plus, how lucky you are, you use a language where you HAVE variable scope :P

You probably even have a virtually an unlimited number of variables, where because of the CRAP compiler for windows, we're limited in the number of 88 levels. So they are re-used throughout the program. Don't document it either when their function changes, no challenges in that.

Heck, you probably even have rudimentary error handling. It's so much more fun to be awoken a 3am, by a page, because a batch job failed. Some stupid array limit was hit, so the least painful thing to do, is split the input file and run the job twice.....
