For me at least, I can never seem to get the updates without having to jump through a bazillion hoops.
Go to their website, click the "Current Release" link, find a mirror that isn't borked, go to the mirror site, wade through a ton of cruft (ads mostly), only to find that the file they're actually hosting is the previous release...
(One of them, hopefully just a misprint, claims it's the "Current May 2006 Release"... Uhhh, no thanks - next mirror!)
Go BACK to the Auto Patcher site, find the NEXT mirror from the list, wash, rinse, repeat.

At least this tool is just a "Launch, Select Language, Select Version, Select CD/DVD/Both, Click GO."
If none of your choices have changed, it's literally three mouse clicks: Launch, Go, & Exit once it's finished.
If it were any easier, it'd be sentient & demanding alimony. =)P
