To the Uficle: Suffix Naming Question by tonza 2007-06-12 12:06:11
Greetings all,

I have a brand new son, and am giving him my name. The name will be identical, including middle name. After extensive googleing, however, I haven't been able to determine for sure whether he explicitly gets a "Jr." right on his birth certificate or not.

I've been able to find many other references as to the proper usage of Jr. vs. II, etc., but none that say whether or not the Birth Certificate should actually reflect the designation, or if the suffix is simply used outside of officialdom to differentiate between us.

Any ideas?

Thanks all,

Tonza
