Just started copying ALL my MP3's to the HD by FNORDer2007-06-12 03:44:05
  I can't do that, unfortunately... by shadowsystems 2007-06-12 11:59:50
Assuming my mother hasn't thrown out the binders I asked her to store for me when we sold the house, I stopped counting after the twelfth "200 CD Wallet" that got filled to double-capacity.
12 binders * 400 cd's = 4,800 cd's * 650 Megs each (there are 700's, too, but we'll keep it "conservative") = 3.12 TERAbytes of data.
I don't think that'll fit on my laptop's HD for some ODD reason... =JP

So, if there were 20 binders, then we're looking at 5.4 Tb worth of music.
And YES, all of it's legal. =)
One year my storage unit got broken into & everything stolen.
I used the insurance money to re-purchase all the music I'd lost, and then spent nearly three MONTHS ripping it all to my HD & archiving the tracks to CD-RW.
I haven't bought but maybe a handful of cd's in over a decade for the simple fact that I'm never bored with the music I've already got.
Sure, I'll listen to the radio from time to time, but most of the cookie-cutter bands they insult the airwaves with won't get a penny from me.
My son lets me listen to his music, so I might buy a used CD (yeay Dimple Records!) of the artists I like.
Most of the time he prefers to listen to MY music because "it's way too eFfing COOL, Dad!"
XD BAH HAhahahahahhahahahahaa.....
