You can pack a lot more information into a resume and it takes less time for an employer to read through. Both good points to help you stand out from the crowd. You need to tailor your resume for each position when that is possible. Stressing problem solving if going for a position where you have less experience, and getting detail oriented for the ones where you are on firm ground. Never lie, but don't be afraid to inflate a little.
