About thermal paper by oedlan2007-06-12 01:46:27
  It's a daft storyline anyway. by Didactylos 2007-06-12 03:27:17
Firstly, who buys something as expensive as that by walking into a shop? You buy it online and get it delivered.

Secondly, expensive hardware comes with warranty cards and stuff like that.

Thirdly, even if you had no paperwork at all, you could pack up the busted monitor back into its box, and the shop would find it very difficult to refuse to accept it. Legally (at least here in the UK) a receipt isn't required at all for a return (although it makes the process easier).
