At least not in the past.. THere's been issues about compatibility back and forth between a's, b's and g's. When I had to get a new WLan card for my notebook for college, I specifically had to get a 'b'. Other cards, or combinations wouldn't work. On the other hand, there's no real deal in mentioning the manufacturer.. Most of the chips are from CISCO anywayz.. :P (Did you know that the main difference between LinkSys and SISCO is the chassis of the card..? ;-) )
