I am somewhat of an expert at not doing homework, but none on either parenting or young girls, so apply this if and when you think it might help:

have you considered some method of checking what assignments she has, and when they're due, Maybe a diary or calendar that you can keep an eye on?

I'm sure it would have helped me, even if i would have felt like i was being patronised...
