WinXP mount question for the UFicle by UGuardian 2007-06-03 15:31:44
I need to be able to mount hard disk image files under WinXP. Whatever the trick/software is, it needs to be free. Read-only access works fine, and just about any filesystem format should also work (though vfat is preferred).

I got nowhere Googling this; it seems there's a sea of "quick fixes" that want money or questionable friends installed. Much like the adware protection and ZIP file reading programs, it's probably not worth the money. (The fact that Linux can do it for free is a strong point against such software)
