these things are? What are you going to attach the mesh to? Usually the whole of the hub turns, so attachment points are limited. The structure you seem to be suggesting would be blown to shreds in mere seconds. And what about turbulance? That "little bit of chicken wire" is going to mess up the air dynamics totally. Don't underestimate it because it's small.
